Ghetto Justice Episode Two
It is in this episode that the first 'big' case of the drama appears. First, a girl called 'Sheung Chau Ping' (Jeanette Leung) falls from a high building with a knife stabbed into her chest and Kevin witnesses it.
kinda scary huh?
And then, something unexpected happened! *gasp* Well, it was actually expected because they do show you in the preview.. The thing is, the Uncle Gen that Kevin helped in the previous episode (Yes, that dog one) ends up standing there and looking real scared.
He really does look freaked :/
Then, he admits to killing her. Kevin of course, goes to the rescue and they end up at the police station together. Under the interrogation of the police, Uncle Gen admits to killing Chau Ping, stating that she was a worker of the company his lady boss owns. The twist here however, is that he says his lady boss called him and asked him to kill Chau Ping because she suspected she had an affair with her husband.
However, not even 2 seconds after Uncle Gen's confession, he suddenly claims that he has forgotten everything, repeating incessantly that his boss Mrs. Ma (Claire Yiu) treats him very well and that he does not know anything. Of course, the police take in his first statement on Mrs.Ma in consideration and this kick starts some sort of a scandal.
Uncle Gen talking about Mrs Ma. Doesn't he look agitated?
Mrs.Ma gets surrounded by news reporters. Myolie takes this as a chance to be Mrs Ma's lawyer by fending off the reporters.
Myolie eventually clinches the job as Mrs. Ma's representing lawyer. She's very happy as she believes that this is her chance to shine.
First screen cap where she's smiling~
Well, so Kevin is representing Uncle Gen and Myolie is representing Mrs Ma. Kevin the goes and looks for the victim Chau Ping's brother as he sees him making a fuss in the police station claiming that it is Mrs. Ma who killed his sister.
Chau Ping's brother, Chun Sang
On the first court case, Myolie and Kevin both plead not guilty for their clients and the case is set on a further date. However, when the judge said that Mrs.Ma could not be put on bail and had to be kept in the Women's prison, she refused and had a heart attack. Uncle Gen looked really concerned..or anxious??
Mrs Ma saying she doesn't want to be kept in prison
Uncle Gen looks really guilty in the first screen cap. But what about.. the second?
Uncle Gen keeps insisting that he did it because Mrs Ma treated him really nice and that he could not take the fact that Mr.Ma's affair was hurting Mrs Ma so much, and thats why he went to scare Chau Ping. Kevin suspects something else though..
Kevin asks Uncle Gen to tell the truth
Meanwhile, because Uncle Gen is part of the neighbourhood Myolie lives in, the neighbours are dissing her. Her mother stands up for her in front of the neighbour but later on tells Myolie that she hopes Myolie will not betray her conscience in this case. Myolie promises her mother.
Later on, Uncle Gen commits suicide in the prison. Luckily, he failed. At first, everyone thinks he did it out of guilt for pushing the blame onto Mrs Ma, who treats him very well. However, it is later on revealed that before he committed suicide, Mrs Ma's personal assistant went to visit him...
What a twist huh? With this, Kevin is more determined to find out the real truth behind everything. Is Mrs Ma really as nice as she seems??
